What this website collects, why, and the choices you have.
This website is run by Neil McCabe, keynote speaker and social entrepreneur, based in Ireland. In this policy, “I”, “me” and “my” mean Neil McCabe. I am responsible for the personal information described here.
You can contact me about your information at neil@thegreenplan.ie.
Enquiries sent through the form on this website are emailed to me. I keep enquiries for up to 24 months unless they lead to a booking, in which case I keep the booking details for as long as needed to deliver the engagement and meet my accounting and tax obligations (usually 6 years). You can ask me to delete your enquiry at any time.
I do not sell your information. I only share it with service providers who help me run this website and my email, under terms that require them to keep it secure: my web hosting and email providers, my website provider, who maintains this website, and Google (website analytics, if you accept analytics cookies). I may also share information where the law requires it.
The talk on this website is hosted on YouTube. It is embedded in privacy-enhanced mode and only loads when you press play, so YouTube (Google) does not set any cookies until then. Once you play the video, YouTube’s own privacy policy and cookies apply.
I use Google Analytics, provided by Google Ireland Limited, to understand how visitors use this website: for example which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors are (town or country), what device they use and how they found the site. I also count when the enquiry form is sent and when email or LinkedIn links are clicked. The content of your enquiry is never sent to Google. Google Analytics does not store your IP address, and I do not use it to identify you. Google may process this data outside the EEA under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. Analytics data is kept for no more than 14 months.
Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time using the round cookie button at the bottom left of every page, or this cookie settings link.
Cookies used on this website
You can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete it, restrict or object to how I use it, and ask for a copy to take elsewhere. Where I rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To use any of these rights, email neil@thegreenplan.ie. If you are not happy with how I handle your information, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
I may update this policy when the website changes. The date below shows when it was last updated.
